Squishy and his sister were abandoned when their previous owner could no longer continue to care for them. Karyn Poplin, founder of the Kitty Adventure Rescue League, offered to provide a home for them at her cat shelter in Fort Worth, Texas, so they could spend their golden years in love and comfort.

Carlin told Love Meow, “I don’t know the real reason, but these two sisters are about to be euthanized and they need a place.”

The senior cats had just moved into their new home, but when the 15-year-old kittens asked Karin for a cuddle, she wouldn’t take no for an answer.

Squishy came right up to me,” she said.

Karin told Love Meow, “She loves to be cuddled and doesn’t care about anything else as long as she’s out of my way.”

Squishy follows Carlin around the house, hardly noticing other cats she has never seen before, but only looking at her owner and meowing loudly for a cuddle.

‘When I hold her, she smiles and meows. I can do my job. If I don’t cuddle him, he gets angry. If I ignore her completely, she will crawl under my blankets or on my back and want to be near me.

Knowing that Squishy’s presence would not allow for privacy, Karin came up with an idea to meet the cat boss’s every need.

‘So, naturally, I bought a carrier to keep her happy so I could do my job. I bought a medium, thinking it would be enough, but it has a zipper on the side. ‘ Carlin told Love Meow.

‘But she’s happy. She’ll do anything to get out of my way and get my attention.

‘She only weighs 5 pounds, but she has lots of soft skin. She is so perfect.”

As long as her human mom is holding her, Squishy is comfortable.

Karin switched back and forth between the blanket and Squishy’s special carrier so that the kitten could be wherever she wanted to be.
