Maggie Welz was devastated when her beloved cat Tiger went missing.

When the Welz family had to move, Maggie asked the new owners if they could watch Tiger for her, just in case.
Thanks to the kindness of Carol O’Connor, a staff member at the Dutchess County SPCA, a miracle happened.
She noticed the stray cat had been doing business in the neighborhood for three years.
On a whim, she decided to check to see if the cat was microchipped and learned its name and family contact information.
Carol discovered that the cat had been missing from home for about 11 years.
With joy, she contacted Margie and the sanctuary took photos of the tiger’s reunion and shared them with the world.
It was a beautiful moment that evoked hope in the hearts of many cat owners.
Everyone was so happy to hear the news that Tiger and Maggie would be together for life. It was a beautiful ending that gave hope to all families with missing pets.
