Mysterious Guest
Manny was actually a stray cat who popped into the Yolem’s home.
From the looks of him, it was obvious that he needed a place to stay, so the couple welcomed him into their home.
In fact, Manny made the decision.
Manny just showed up one day and didn’t leave,” the Yolems told ABC News.

One of the wolves in the pack
It didn’t take long for this gray tabby to get along with the couple’s other dogs and cats.
In fact, Manny was so friendly and cuddly that he quickly became the “alpha” of the pack!
Manny began to appear regularly in Yolem’s Instagram photos.
Sometimes she was pictured alone, but most of the time she was with her furry family members.

After a few photo shoots, Yolem noticed that Manny liked to be in the spotlight.
“He is very curious, and when I take pictures of my dog, he basically ‘photobombs’ and tries to take the camera out of my hand,” Yolem told ABC News.
Yolem described Manny as “the smartest and most curious cat I’ve ever had.”
But it was at a very special moment that the couple realized how smart Manny really was.

The Birth of a Star
One day, Yolem took his dog and Manny to a photo shoot.
The shoot was no different than usual, but this time something special happened.
One day, Manny reached out and touched the camera during the shoot and accidentally learned how to use it,” Yolem says.
The resulting photo looks like Manny is taking a selfie with his dog!

When Yolem saw the photo, he couldn’t help but laugh.
He immediately uploaded the photo to Instagram, and before long thousands of people were laughing with him.
That’s when Manny earned the title of “selfie cat.”
Soon, Manny’s photos went viral.
